Issue 8

I have read my copy of Fat Quarterly from cover to cover, and I can reassure you that it is brimming with projects
- Rita, Red Pepper Quilts

This issue is all about paper and how it can be used in our quilting projects.

Have you ever tried foundation piecing, english paper piecing or freezer paper piecing? All these techniques be used to make intricate patterns more manageable. The majority of the patterns in this issue are for small items or blocks. Paper piecing can be daunting enough without thinking you have to start with a queen sized quilt! But each of the patterns could be expanded upon to make larger scale projects if desired.

What you can find in this issue:

6 new quilts, 4 pillows, a potholder and lots of blocks!

A pattern for a patchwork clock.

A fun pattern for a robot stuffie.

A book review of Modern Bags by Sue Kim.

And much more.
