With so many fantastic lines in the mix we’re sure to have some epic match-ups — even in round 1 — and the first ever TIE in Modern Madness history! That’s right — in Region 2, California Girl and Silent Cinema each received 50% of the votes, so we had to go to the actual votes. By the thinnest margin we’ve seen yet, California Girl took the win by 2 votes!!
Let’s take a look at who else emerged to compete another day in round 2 …

Wow, this is getting tougher and tougher, isn’t it? And it’s still only round 1!!
At 15, missed the California Girl win.
8 for 8 this round, 14/16 ovverall
6/8 again!
This time only 6/8, so total 14/16.
I thought I was doing okay last round – I was at 6/8. But I’m down to 11/16 this time…and one of the ones I missed I had predicted to make it to final four, so I’m preparing to be more wrong in the future. Oh well – I’m a pretty new quilter to the online (sometimes modern…I don’t know if I can always call my quilts that) quilting community and the world of designer fabrics.
So far 13/16. Boy I sure messed up on this Round. It should have been a no brainer and I let my personal preferences get in the way.
Oooh 7/8 again! I’m gutted Silent Cinema didnt make it though. Dont anticipate me gettina good score next round either, no idea what’ll happen there!
7/8 this time! But still only 12 points total. Even so, my brackets look a whole lot better than my husband’s NCAA brackets! Next round looks tough too!
14 overall
only 9 total. yikes. 6/8 the 2nd round so that’s good…
11/16 now for me after getting 6/8 this round
I’m 10 out of 16. At least I’m consistent….5/8 both times! Some fabulous fabric though.
9 out of 16. 4 of 8 for Region 1; 5 of 8 for Region 2. Maybe my odds will continue to improve with each round.
12 out of 16 didn’t do so well in second round, loving it though
This is so fun. I have to get me some Curio by Basic Grey for Moda. I’m 11 out of 16.
Only 9! I really bombed in this last round – guess if I want to improve my score I’ll have to be cynical and stop voting for what I like and start voting for what I suspect will be most popular. Which aren’t always the same thing
Only 6/8, so now 14/16. My streak is over. A short streak.
6 out of 8 again!!! so that’s 12/16 ugh!
oh my goodness – 8 out of 8 for this round – better than last time ! not sure about this round though
Doing pretty well – 14 out of 16. Doubt I can sustain it, though! I wonder how everyone else is choosing? Personally, I’m going for what I love. Although honestly, I love it all, and sometimes the choice between 2 lines just kills me. Luckily, in real life I don’t have to choose…well, funds aren’t unlimited, but I can always buy a charm pack or a couple of fat quarters!
6 out of 8 again. So I’m at 12 out of 16
