Project Description

Issue 18 – Zakka

Zakka means “various things” in Japanese and refers as much to an attitude to life as the thing itself. Zakka objects are often practical and functional as well as fun and pretty. Zakka should be special and not easily found elsewhere which make handmade objects perfect examples of Zakka as they are unique and crafted to the individual personal style of the Person making them.

Zakka can be described as Cute, retro or kitsch but really it is just something that makes you feel you have to have it!

This issue is packed with unique objects which all more than fill the criteria for Zakka. Not only are they cute but they are practical and fun.
